SCHOLARSHIP BYLAWS

Purpose and Scope:

The purpose of these bylaws is to establish a transparent and unbiased process for approving or denying scholarships provided by the Be Perfect Foundation to individuals living with paralysis in need of medical supplies, equipment, therapy programs, and other related services. These bylaws ensure that the decision-making process is fair, consistent, and focused on the well-being of the applicants.

    • The nature and severity of the injury/diagnosis, along with the prognosis, will be considered in determining the level of support needed.

    • Accessibility to the requested product or service will be evaluated based on the applicant's location and availability.

    • Applicants' responses to supplemental questions will be considered to understand the impact of the scholarship on their well-being and future plans.

Decision-Making Process:

  1. Unbiased Evaluation:

    • Applications will be evaluated by a designated committee of qualified individuals who are not directly associated with the applicants.

    • Decisions will be made based solely on the information provided in the application.

  2. Scoring System:

    • Each application will be assigned a score based on the eligibility criteria, financial need, medical information, and supplemental responses.

    • Scoring will be objective and consistent to ensure fairness.

  3. Approval/Denial Criteria:

    • Scholarships will be approved based on the applicant's demonstrated need and the alignment of the requested support with the applicant's condition.

    • Denials may occur if the applicant's financial need is not substantiated, the requested support does not align with their condition, or if funds are limited.

  4. Discretion of Decision:

    • The decision to award a scholarship and the amount of the scholarship will be made at the sole and absolute discretion of the Be Perfect Foundation.

    • All decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

Communication and Transparency:

  1. Notification:

    • Applicants will be notified of the decision via email or other means of contact provided in the application.

    • Denial notifications will include a brief explanation for transparency.

  2. Confidentiality:

    • All information submitted by applicants will be treated as confidential and will only be shared with individuals directly involved in the evaluation process.

  3. Appeals:

    • While there is no formal appeals process, applicants are encouraged to reapply in subsequent application cycles if their circumstances change or if additional information becomes available.

Continued Engagement:

  1. Pay It Forward:

    • Applicants who receive scholarships are encouraged to "pay it forward" by sharing their experiences, participating in awareness campaigns, or contributing to the foundation's mission in some meaningful way.

Conclusion:

These bylaws ensure that the scholarship approval process is fair, transparent, and aligned with the Be Perfect Foundation's mission to provide support to individuals living with paralysis. All decisions are made with the utmost consideration for the well-being of the applicants and the foundation's resources.
