John Buckley

Thank you so much for your generosity! My family and I are so grateful and will be spreading the word about the Be Perfect Foundation to our family and friends and my fellow clients at Journey Forward. You are the best!!
— John Buckley

John F. Buckley sustained severe compression of his spinal cord at the C3 to C5 level, a condition possibly exacerbated by previous military injuries. His injury, which occurred on January 10, 2022, has presented significant challenges, but with the support of the Be Perfect Foundation, John has made remarkable progress in his rehabilitation at Journey Forward, a spinal cord injury recovery center. The specialized therapists at Journey Forward have been instrumental in helping him regain strength, coordination, and balance over the past year and a half.

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the cost of John's rehabilitation, leaving him to pay out of pocket. This financial burden has been made more difficult by his inability to work and the need for his wife to leave her job as a registered nurse to care for him full-time. However, thanks to the Be Perfect Foundation's financial support, John can continue his rehabilitation for the next several months, during which his wife hopes to return to nursing.

As John continues to grow stronger and more independent, he looks forward to resuming family activities such as attending his kids' sporting events, band concerts, and church functions. "When my kids see me working hard and getting stronger, I can tell how pleased they are," John shares. "You are helping me reengage with my family! What is better than that? Thank you so much for your generosity!"

John and his family are deeply grateful to the Be Perfect Foundation and are eager to share their story with others in the spinal cord injury community.
