Natalie Fung

My name is Natalie Fung and I sustained a C-5 spinal cord injury when I was hit by a drunk driver in the back of a cab in Las Vegas.

The Be Perfect Foundation granted me a scholarship for me to work out at The Perfect Step. I've gained a lot of strength since I started working out at The Perfect Step.

I have met so many friends through Be Perfect and The Perfect Step. Seeing others with similar injuries to mine gives me hope that I can one day be as strong and independent as them.

I have gained a lot more upper body and core strength from going to The Perfect Step. I now use a manual wheelchair and I am on my way to learning how to transfer with a sliding board.

While using a manual wheelchair was a huge milestone, that I was recently able to obtain, I have also obtained other milestones that I'm excited about. In addition to this, I have other future goals that I would like to reach as well in the form of finding my own level of independence, being able to transfer on my own, and driving again, which is already in the works.

Thank you so much for helping so many people achieve their goals. This scholarship means a lot to me because I am hoping to get my MBA in the fall, and every saving counts. I am so happy I can continue to workout and receive therapy while pursuing another degree.
