Chris Meyer
My name is Chris Meyer, and in 1999, I was diagnosed with a neurological disorder known as Friedreich's Ataxia, which is a genetic progressive neuro-muscular disorder. Over the years, the symptoms have severely progressed, affecting my entire body from my cerebellum downwards. Now, at the age of 41, I faced significant challenges due to the relentless progression of this condition.
However, there was a glimmer of hope when the FDA approved a treatment for Friedreich's Ataxia called Skyclaris. This treatment has shown promise in slowing or even halting the progression of the disease while also helping to regain some neurological function. It was a ray of hope amidst the difficulties I was facing.
During this journey, the Be Perfect Foundation has been an unwavering support system for me. They have provided me with the necessary assistance to obtain Skyclaris and have guided me towards participating in a chronic care therapy program, particularly at The Perfect Step. Through their support, I have gained both physical and mental stability, allowing me to strive for the best possible outcome with this new treatment.
The Be Perfect Foundation has been my guiding light, offering me the hope of a better future despite my disability. They have played a crucial role in helping me maintain a healthier mindset and aiding in my recovery journey. I am truly grateful for their dedication and support, and they have made a significant difference in my life during this challenging time.
