His wife, Tina, tirelessly searched for him, and after two weeks in a coma and multiple surgeries, Emil found himself grappling with a new reality. However, amidst the challenges, Emil found hope through the assistance of the Be Perfect Foundation.
The Be Perfect Foundation provided Emil with a financial grant and access to The Perfect Step gym for additional physical therapy and rehabilitation. Reflecting on the impact, Emil shares, "Be Perfect has given me a financial grant and the opportunity to attend The Perfect Step gym and obtain additional physical therapy and rehabilitation." Through these resources, Emil has noticed improvements in his strength and mobility, stating, "Since I’ve been going to the Perfect Step, my core has gotten stronger, and I am able to do my transfers in and out of my wheelchair more easily."
Emil's journey with Be Perfect has been one of resilience and determination. Despite facing numerous setbacks and challenges, Emil finds solace in the support he receives. "Be Perfect awarded me with a grant for physical therapy, which felt like enormous relief, excitement, and the universe telling me to 'keep going!' all at once," Emil expresses. Emil has already achieved significant milestones in his recovery journey, including mastering various daily tasks and physical feats. Looking ahead, Emil harbors ambitious aspirations, including walking again, driving, and engaging in recreational activities like basketball and tennis. He acknowledges that achieving these goals will require continued support, stating, "Be Perfect can help me achieve all of my goals by continuing to help me with funding for physical therapy at The Perfect Step."
In expressing his gratitude to the donors, Emil reflects on the profound impact of their generosity. "You have no idea what your support means to us," he shares. Emil and Tina extend their appreciation not only to the donors but also to the staff at The Perfect Step for creating a supportive and motivating environment.
