On August 3, 2025, Eric Mascho’s life changed in an instant. While racing dirt bikes at Glen Helen Raceway — a sport that had always been his passion — he suffered a devastating accident that left him with a spinal cord injury spanning levels C5 through T2. In a single moment, the active, hard-working antenna installation technician known for his energy and drive was faced with one of life’s toughest challenges: learning how to rebuild both body and spirit.
Determined not to let his injury define his future, Eric turned to the Be Perfect Foundation, where he found not just financial support, but a true community of encouragement and belief. Through Be Perfect’s help, he began his rehabilitation at The Perfect Step, a place that quickly became a cornerstone of his recovery journey. There, surrounded by a team of highly trained specialists and fellow clients on similar paths, Eric has worked tirelessly to reclaim his strength, function, and confidence.
The progress he has made speaks volumes about his perseverance. He has regained significant core and upper-body strength, begun developing mobility in his legs, and has even started performing standing and walking drills — powerful milestones that once felt out of reach. Just as importantly, Eric has grown more independent and capable in his daily life, taking on household tasks with renewed purpose and pride. Each step forward has strengthened not only his body but also his mindset and faith in what’s possible.
Still, Eric’s goals reach far beyond his current achievements. He dreams of the day he can walk his wife down the aisle, return to the physically demanding career he loves, and, perhaps most symbolic of all, get back on his dirt bike to feel the freedom of two wheels once again. Through it all, his gratitude for those who have helped him along the way remains unwavering.
