Mike Browns
My name is Mike Browns. I suffered a C3/4 incomplete spinal cord injury in a mountain biking accident on August 8, 2020. My accident happened when I went over the handlebars while coming down the local trail.
Because of your gracious contributions, I have been able to attend The Perfect Step. In the short time, I’ve been attending, my movement and flexibility have increased. I am truly looking forward to the progress to come through hard work and continued determination.
My outlook on my recovery has always been good. Cody, my lead trainer at TPS, and the Team has laid a game plan specific for my rehabilitation and recovery. They have given me a different perspective and motivation for my recovery.
In the short term, I am looking to get back more firmly on my feet again and gain more mobility as I have already gained the ability to walk unassisted already. I have noted that even though I am already walking, that I am still not satisfied. I want more. Because of this, I'm still looking to gain more self-sufficiency to get back to where I was pre-accident. I have my sights set on a full recovery, because why not? There should never be any reason to shoot for anything other than among the stars.
I want to thank the people that made the kind donations to help assist me in my recovery.
