I want to thank the donors for this wonderful opportunity. It would not have been possible without their generosity.

Randy Haught's life changed dramatically on December 15, 2023, when he went for a solo mountain bike ride shortly after returning from his job in Alaska. While exploring a new trail, Randy dropped off a ledge much higher than expected, breaking his C4 vertebra in multiple places. The impact left him instantly paralyzed. Fortunately, a stranger passed by and called 911, saving his life.

Since his injury, Randy has been determined to regain his strength and independence. He exercises at home daily, but credits the specialized therapy he receives at The Perfect Step, made possible by the Be Perfect Foundation, as a major factor in his recovery. "Without Be Perfect, this would not have been possible," Randy shares. "I know with every therapy session, I improve my strength and mobility. The therapy also gives me a positive attitude."

Be Perfect has not only provided the physical rehabilitation Randy needs, but has also restored hope and confidence in his life. "I feel physically and emotionally stronger when I am at therapy," he says. "It builds my confidence."

Randy has set several personal goals and has already achieved milestones he once thought impossible. "The therapists push me to my fullest capacity," Randy says. "I didn’t know I could lift my legs with 2 ½ lb ankle weights on, but I can now." His progress is a testament to his hard work and the support he’s received from Be Perfect.

Looking ahead, Randy is focused on improving the strength and flexibility in his arms and hands. He hopes to become more independent in completing everyday tasks and reduce his reliance on caregivers. With continued therapy and support, he is confident that he will reach these goals.

Randy is deeply grateful to the donors who make his therapy possible. "I want to thank the donors for this wonderful opportunity. It would not have been possible without their generosity," he says, expressing his heartfelt appreciation.
